What's Broö?

Answers to your clever questions

Because sincere questions require honest answers

Is it a Kombucha?  Water Kefir? Probiotic Drink! Prebiotic Soda! Fermented Drink!

What is Broö, exactly?

Broö Biotik Beverage is a fizzy drink with many benefits designed to taste like a soft drink but with none of the detrimental aspects of sodas.  It is lightly fermented with symbiotic yeasts & bacterial cultures (called a water kefir culture) which transform the beverage into a tastier and more beneficial version full of digestive enzymes and probiotics. Broö also contains prebiotics which are plant fibers.  Using a slow-fermentation process at a controlled temperature and a natural sweeteneing method gives Broö a deep & well -rounded flavour, producing a pleasant taste with a high ratio of benefits.

So is it like a Kombucha?

Not really. Kombucha is tea-based and strongly fermented beverage, which has a vinegary taste. Usually, kombuchas contain up to 17g of sugar per portion..  Broo's proprietary recipe delivers a great taste without the vinegary aspect while retaining the benefits found in kombucha with added prebiotic plant fibres and zero-sugar! Think of it as a good-for-you soft drink that can satisfy your sweet tooth too!

What is a prebiotic?

In short, a Prebiotic is a food that feeds your native Probiotics (your good bacteria) that already exist in your belly. Prebiotics come from many sources - Broö's prebiotic is the powdered dried organic sap of the acacia tree. When consumed it feeds the native good bacteria (your microbiome) in your digestive tract.

What's the name about?

When we first started formulating the drink 5 years ago. Like most entrepreneurs, were suffered day and night. For comedic relief, we would call each other ''Bro''. Ahmad suggested we name the drink Bro. Of course, Melanie would not have it: ''Why not call it ''Sis'' then?  Following many pointless arguments and a rare moment of clarity, we came up with Broö - a convenient homonym for Brew and Broue - embracing Frenglish (Franglais) of Montreal in the Belle Province de Québec.

Why only 3 flavours ??!

We are very picky when designing a new flavour. We will create more in the coming two years. Email us for your imaginative suggestions.
